What is CBG  or Bio CNG ?

Biogas when upgraded to international standards of natural gas and compressed is called CBG - Compressed Biogas or Bio CNG.

How do we produce Biogas ?

Biogas is produced by fermenting / digesting the organic waste with the aid of enzymes / microbes in the absence of oxygen in a digester. This is called Anaerobic digestion. The process of producing methane by Anaerobic digestion is called Biomethanation.

Biomethanation

Biomethanation is the safest process to treat organic wet waste such as Food waste, Market waste, Slaughter house waste, Agricultural waste, Pressmud from sugar industry, Distillery spent wash, Napier Grass etc., to produce Biogas, and FOM (Fermented Organic Manure)

Biogas  when upgraded / purified can be used as a domestic cooking fuel and Automotive fuel. It can also be used, for Generating electricity, and as an alternate fuel for boilers and furnaces in industries etc.,

Our process technology is such that it would be easy to, operate and maintain, by semiskilled personnel readily available in most places.

Govt of India initiatives - MoPNG

SATAT SCHEME

  • Developmental effort to benefit vehicle users as well as farmers and entrepreneurs.
  • Reduce dependency on crude oil imports and realize Governments vision of enhancing farmers’ income, rural employment and entrepreneurship
  • Promotion of organic farming by using Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) produced from CBG plants
  • SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) Scheme on CBG was launched by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG)on 1st October 2018
  • OMC’s sign 15 years Contract in purchasing the CBG as per the minimum base price OR higher, as fixed by the MoPNG. The minimum off take of CBG by the OMC’s is fixed at 2 Tons per day. Hence, very minimal Marketing efforts needed
  • Assured long term pricing
  • Central financial assistance (subsidy) on capital investment by Ministry of Renewable Energy, Govt of India.
